Squidalyser is a squid
traffic analyser, designed to allow per-user scrutiny and analysis of squid
logfiles. The program allows a non-technical user to extract information about
web usage patterns, the type of information downloaded, the sites visited by
users, the graphics downloaded, and the amount of information (per-byte or
per-file) accessed. The program runs from a Unix system via a web browser.
The intention is to
augment or replace the use of so-called censorware
in certain environments, given that such systems of censorship are inevitably
unreliable and imprecise.

I am pleased to announce that I have just released Surftrackr as an alternative
to Squidalyser. Surftrackr is more up-to-date and has a cleaner interface than
